| Phoenix Greyhound Racing Foundation was incorporated in June, 1974, to distribute funds realized from racing days whose proceeds were designated for charitable purposes. In 1994, twenty years later, the name became Phoenix Greyhound Racing Foundation. Donations to qualified non-profit agencies now total more than $6,000,000.
Contributions to the Foundation come from Phoenix Greyhound Park, Apache Greyhound Park and a network of approximately 25 off-track wagering sites
established in 1990 to receive the racing signal from Phoenix Greyhound Park. No funds are solicited from any other corporation or private individual.
The Foundation's proceeds are designated for charitable purposes, including religious, scientific, literary and educational purposes, as well as for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals. The funds are distributed throughout Arizona in communities where greyhound racing or where off-track betting facilities are located.
